Location; Near York
A flat galloping course with a sharp right handed turn just before the last fence. The decent permanent fences are mainly viewed from the very steep slope. Binoculars a must as runners eventually become specks in the distance on the back straight and the Gold Cup crowd are a very friendly bunch who know their horses and now how to enjoy themselves.
Runners head off into the yonder...
but eventually come back along the side straight containing four of the last five fences.
